Hi! I'm Steve!
From a young age, art has been my ultimate passion—always on the hunt for the next thing to sketch or paint. It’s a passion that runs in the family. My mom, inspired by a super-talented classmate back in elementary school, made a promise to herself to guide her future kids into the world of art. True to her word, she nudged me and my younger brother to dive into our artistic passions. Our artistic adventure really kicked off with Pappyland in the late '90s. Pappy Drewitt’s drawing tips, paired with mom’s constant supply of paper, pencils, and crayons, were the perfect recipe for setting the stage for us. While my brother and I developed our own unique styles, those early art sessions set us up for success.
As the years rolled by, I dabbled in everything from fine art painting and ink drawings to sculpture. Then things took a big turn when I taught myself Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, opening up a whole new world of digital art and graphic design. This newfound passion led to many exciting freelance opportunities. Along the way, I discovered a love for teaching through my work at the library, where I developed training programs and helped patrons with tech needs. This passion for teaching continued when I moved to a role as a Training Specialist for an auto repair consultant company, where I facilitated web-based software training and collaborated on new software systems. Eager to learn more, I delved into programs like Articulate Storyline and Rise to create more sophisticated content, which led me to a role as a Training Developer for a timeshare resort company. This role has allowed me to blend my passion for art with my expertise in eLearning, continuing to grow and explore new horizons in the Learning and Development field.
